Welcome to Haohin. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Haohin.com and the Chinese language learning content, features, subscriptions, and related services provided by Haohin (“Haohin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing Haohin, creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not access or use Haohin.

1. About Haohin

Haohin is an online Chinese language learning platform that provides structured lessons and learning tools designed to help users develop vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, speaking, and practical communication skills.

Features may include:

  • Structured Chinese language lessons
  • Vocabulary and practical sentence learning
  • Audio and listening practice
  • Speaking and pronunciation practice
  • AI-powered pronunciation analysis and feedback
  • Spaced repetition and review features
  • Learning progress tracking
  • Other educational features introduced from time to time

We may modify, improve, replace, add, or discontinue features as the platform develops.

2. Eligibility

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you.

If you are below the age at which you may independently enter into a contract or consent to the processing of personal information in your jurisdiction, you may use Haohin only with the authorization or supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

By using Haohin, you represent that you satisfy the applicable eligibility requirements.

3. User Accounts

Certain Haohin features require you to create an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Maintain the accuracy of your account information
  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Not share, sell, transfer, rent, or sublicense your account
  • Take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access to your account
  • Notify Haohin promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or use

You are responsible for activities conducted through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Haohin may apply reasonable technical or security measures to detect account sharing, fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.

4. License to Use Haohin

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Haohin grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable right to access and use Haohin for personal educational purposes.

This right does not transfer ownership of Haohin or any content available through the platform.

Unless expressly authorized by Haohin or permitted by applicable law, you may not:

  • Copy or reproduce substantial portions of Haohin content
  • Redistribute, publish, sell, license, or commercially exploit Haohin content
  • Make Haohin content publicly available
  • Share paid content with unauthorized users
  • Scrape, crawl, systematically download, or extract content or data
  • Use automated systems to access the platform in a manner that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the platform
  • Circumvent access controls, subscription restrictions, security measures, or technical limitations
  • Use Haohin content to create or operate a competing product or service where prohibited by applicable law

All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved by Haohin and its licensors.

5. Free and Paid Services

Haohin may provide certain lessons, features, or content free of charge and may require payment for access to other content or features.

The features, duration, price, and conditions of each paid plan will be displayed before purchase.

Haohin may change available plans, features, or pricing from time to time. Any pricing changes will apply in accordance with the terms presented to you and applicable law.

Changes to pricing will not retroactively alter charges already paid for an existing subscription period unless otherwise required by law.

6. Payments and Billing

When purchasing a paid service, you agree to provide accurate billing and payment information.

Payments may be processed by independent third-party payment providers.

By submitting a payment, you authorize the applicable payment provider to process the transaction according to the payment terms presented at checkout.

Haohin may receive transaction information such as payment status, transaction identifiers, purchase amount, subscription details, and billing information.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout, applicable taxes, fees, currency conversion charges, or payment-provider charges may be added or handled according to applicable law and the policies of the relevant payment provider.

If a payment is declined, reversed, disputed, canceled, or otherwise unsuccessful, access to the associated paid services may be suspended or terminated where permitted by law.

7. Subscription Renewal and Cancellation

If a subscription is offered on an automatically renewing basis, the renewal terms, billing period, price, and applicable cancellation conditions will be disclosed before purchase.

You may cancel an automatically renewing subscription using the cancellation method made available by Haohin or the applicable payment provider.

Cancellation normally prevents future renewal and does not automatically terminate access for a subscription period that has already been paid for.

Your access may continue until the end of the applicable paid period unless otherwise stated or required by law.

Where a plan is sold as a fixed-duration, non-renewing plan, access will expire at the end of the purchased period unless the user purchases another plan.

8. Refunds

Purchases and refund requests are governed by the Haohin Refund Policy and any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you.

Nothing in these Terms or the Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or waived.

9. AI Pronunciation and Learning Features

Haohin may use artificial intelligence, speech-processing technologies, algorithms, or other automated systems to analyze pronunciation and provide educational feedback.

Pronunciation scores, assessments, suggestions, and other automated feedback are intended solely as learning aids.

While we work to improve the accuracy and reliability of these features, automated pronunciation analysis may not always be accurate or complete.

Results may vary because of factors including:

  • Microphone quality
  • Background noise
  • Internet connection
  • Speaking volume
  • Accent or speaking style
  • Device configuration
  • Audio quality
  • Technical limitations of speech-recognition or AI systems

Haohin does not guarantee that an AI-generated score or assessment represents an absolute or authoritative evaluation of a user's Chinese language ability.

Users should treat such results as educational guidance rather than official language certification.

10. Educational Disclaimer

Haohin is an educational platform designed to support Chinese language learning.

We do not guarantee that use of Haohin will result in:

  • Fluency within a specific period
  • Achievement of a particular language proficiency level
  • Passing any examination
  • Admission to any educational institution
  • Employment or professional advancement
  • Any specific academic, financial, or professional result

Learning outcomes depend on many factors, including study frequency, practice, prior knowledge, individual ability, and the way in which the service is used.

Haohin does not issue an official government-recognized language qualification unless expressly stated otherwise.

11. Intellectual Property Rights

Haohin and its associated content, software, systems, designs, branding, databases, educational materials, lesson structures, text, graphics, pronunciation tools, algorithms, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Haohin and may be protected by copyright, trademark, database, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right of access granted under these Terms, no intellectual property rights are transferred to users.

“Haohin,” associated logos, visual identities, and other Haohin branding may not be used without prior authorization except where permitted by applicable law.

12. User Content and Voice Recordings

Certain features may allow users to submit information, audio recordings, feedback, or other content (“User Content”).

You retain any ownership rights you may have in your User Content.

You grant Haohin a limited right to process, transmit, store, reproduce, and otherwise use User Content only to the extent reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the requested services
  • Analyze pronunciation
  • Generate learning feedback
  • Maintain account functionality
  • Provide customer support
  • Protect the security and integrity of the platform
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

13. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Haohin.

You must not:

  • Use Haohin for unlawful or fraudulent activities
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, databases, or systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of Haohin
  • Introduce malware, malicious code, or harmful software
  • Circumvent payment systems or access restrictions
  • Share or resell paid accounts or paid access without authorization
  • Systematically scrape, copy, extract, or download Haohin content
  • Use bots or automated tools in a manner that abuses or disrupts the service
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Attempt to discover or exploit vulnerabilities in the platform
  • Infringe the intellectual property or other legal rights of Haohin or third parties
  • Use the service in any manner prohibited by applicable law

14. Suspension and Termination

Haohin may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an account where reasonably necessary, including when:

  • These Terms are materially violated
  • Payment obligations are not satisfied
  • An account is used fraudulently
  • Unauthorized account sharing is detected
  • The platform or its content is being abused
  • Security risks are identified
  • Continued access may harm Haohin, its users, or third parties
  • Suspension or termination is required by law

Where reasonably practicable and appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to remedy a violation before terminating an account.

Serious fraud, security threats, illegal activity, or deliberate abuse may result in immediate action.

Users may stop using Haohin at any time and may request account deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Termination does not eliminate payment obligations or other liabilities that arose before termination.

15. Service Availability and Changes

We aim to provide a reliable service, but Haohin may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • Maintenance
  • Software updates
  • Infrastructure changes
  • Security incidents
  • Internet or telecommunications failures
  • Third-party service failures
  • Events outside our reasonable control

We may modify, update, replace, or discontinue portions of the service where reasonably necessary.

Where a material change significantly affects a paid service, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice when required by applicable law.

16. Third-Party Services

Haohin may rely on or integrate with third-party services, including payment processors, cloud infrastructure, analytics services, email providers, authentication services, and other technical providers.

Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Haohin is not responsible for independent third-party services outside our reasonable control, except where responsibility cannot be excluded under applicable law.

17. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Our collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information are described in the Haohin Privacy Policy.

By using Haohin, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review the Privacy Policy.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Haohin and the services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not warrant that:

  • The service will always be available or uninterrupted
  • The service will be completely free from errors or defects
  • Every pronunciation assessment will be completely accurate
  • All content will remain available indefinitely
  • The service will meet every user's individual requirements
  • Every technical issue will be corrected immediately

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, guarantee, condition, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Haohin will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the service, including loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, or data.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Haohin's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the total amount you paid to Haohin for the applicable service during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

For services provided without charge, Haohin's liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited, including any rights or remedies available under mandatory consumer protection laws.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold Haohin harmless from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs arising directly from:

  • Your unlawful use of Haohin
  • Your material violation of these Terms
  • Your infringement of another person's intellectual property or other legal rights
  • Fraudulent or intentionally harmful activity conducted through your account

This provision does not require you to indemnify Haohin for losses caused by Haohin's own unlawful conduct, fraud, gross negligence, or other conduct for which liability cannot legally be excluded.

21. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you and Haohin are encouraged to attempt to resolve disputes by contacting us and providing sufficient information about the issue.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be submitted to the competent courts of Vietnam, unless mandatory consumer protection or other applicable laws give you the right to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable law.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes to:

  • Haohin services and features
  • Business operations
  • Payment arrangements
  • Security requirements
  • Applicable laws or regulations

When changes are material, we may provide notice through Haohin, email, or another appropriate method.

Changes will become effective on the date specified in the updated Terms.

Where required by applicable law, we will obtain consent before applying changes that require additional consent.

Your continued use of Haohin after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed where necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

24. No Waiver

If Haohin does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision later.

25. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and any additional terms presented to you when purchasing or using a particular service, constitute the agreement between you and Haohin regarding your use of the service.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and specific terms presented for a particular paid service, the specific terms will control to the extent of that conflict.
